KYOKUSHIN KARATE

Started Martial Arts when I was 6 years old.

It was called Kyokushin. Throughout my years I have learned many things through my training, from Discipline, Strength and Endurance to Leadership and Budo spirit.

I have had the Honour of training with Kyokushin Greats and traveling to Japan to compete in Kumite.

Though the years I have also had great pride in working with other styles and organisations to help develop my own personal Martial Arts, which in turn benefits my students.

I believe that even though Kyokushin is my preference, other martial arts are important to learn in order to balance out one’s learning.

KYOKUSHIN KARATE

In the early 90’s during the rugby league off season, a friend of mine introduced me to Kyokushin karate at the local P.C.Y.C. The training enhanced my fitness, strength, stamina and flexibility. I bantered between Kyokushin and footy for a couple of years until one season I never returned to footy and remained with Kyokushin karate.

Over 30 years later despite age and injuries, Kyokushin Karate has provided ongoing physical fitness, focused mental health and personal growth of which is now providing new challenges as an instructor in developing new students, guiding returning students and enhancing existing students.
